Mark Cernicky brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to his work with individuals, families, business owners, farmers, and ranchers in South Dakota and Wyoming. His background includes advising institutional investors around the world and managing investments for hedge funds and insurance companies. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional designations and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Mark combines global experience with local understanding to help clients make informed financial decisions. Whether someone has one specific question, faces an important decision, or needs a broader strategy, he meets them where they are. He helps clients understand their options and identify practical next steps, coordinating with their tax and legal professionals when appropriate.
Based in Rapid City, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, their four sons, and the family dog. He is active in his parish, serving as lector coordinator and on the Liturgy Committee. He also enjoys restoring classic vehicles, including a 1929 Ford Model AA firetruck—a project that draws on the patience, perseverance, and problem-solving skills he brings to his work.
