Elizabeth Smith has assumed the Service Leader position at the Rushmore General Office.
Liz brings a diverse professional background spanning finance, operations, marketing, and event management, with experience across nonprofit, corporate, and small business environments. She is known for her adaptability, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit—consistently working to create positive, organized, and forward-moving work environments. Her passion for problem-solving and creativity makes her a strong asset to the Field Service team.
Originally from Reno, Nevada, Liz and her husband relocated to Hermosa, South Dakota in the early 2000s, where they built their “cottage in the woods” on six acres of forest near Mount Rushmore. A master gardener, she maintains a large greenhouse and outdoor garden, raises chickens, and plans to keep bees in the near future. Their Australian Shepherd, Wheeler, keeps a watchful eye on the homestead.
